Artemiza Woodgate, PhD, is the Chief Investment Officer and co-founder of Integrated Quantitative Investments LLC (IQI), a quantitative investment firm managing institutional equity portfolios across global markets.
She brings over two decades of experience in designing and executing advanced quantitative strategies in global equities. Her research spans the development of novel alpha signals, the integration of alternative data, and enhancements to portfolio optimization- blending AI and data science with rigorous quantitative portfolio management.
Before co-founding IQI in 2020, Artemiza held research roles at Man Numeric and Russell Investments.
Prior to her industry career, Artemiza taught finance, economics, and statistics at the University of Washington (Foster School of Business) and the University of Auckland. Her academic work focused on accounting, asset pricing, portfolio optimization, and interest rate targeting, with publications in the Journal of Finance, Journal of Portfolio Management, Management Science, and Pensions & Investments. She holds a PhD in Finance from the University of Washington, and an MSc and BSc (Hons) in Mathematics from the University of Auckland, New Zealand.
Outside of her professional work, Artemiza is committed to advancing gender equity in finance. She serves on the Board of Directors of CFA Society Seattle, where she currently chairs both the Women’s Network and the Book Club, and has a longstanding record of founding and participating in gender-focused support initiatives within the industry.
