We’ve observed changes in players in the data supply chain, as Chinese consumers, regulators and payment solution providers make different decisions to reshape the payment industry.

CONSUMERS SHIFTING AWAY FROM CARD PAYMENTS
In 2024, online payments* contributed to RMB 3,758tn of transactions in China, while card payments contributed to approximately a quarter of that, with an 8.53% YoY decline compared to 2023. Online payments now dominate the payment scene.
