Company fundamental data is used to determine a business’s intrinsic value and therefore underpins most equity investment processes. Yet because every vendor builds its dataset from the same public filings, the differences between providers are often hard to see from the outside. They lie in how each standardises line items, whether it preserves the data as originally reported, and how quickly it reaches clients. In practice, these differences can determine whether a dataset is fit for a given use case. This report introduces the players that exist in this space and highlights the attributes that matter most when choosing between those vendors.
