Dr. Chen is the Head of Alternative Alpha Research at Robeco. In this role, he is responsible for leading the

research and development of innovative alpha insights and solutions for use across Robeco. Dr. Chen’s

current research interests are in the areas of quant sustainability, machine learning/NLP, and alternative

data, and has published a number of journal articles on these topics.

Previously, Dr. Chen was the Head of Sustainable Investments at PanAgora. In that role, he led the

research and development of sustainable investment solutions across PanAgora, and the

commercialization of PanAgora’s ESG offerings. In addition, he is responsible for model research and

development in the Equity Division while participating in the daily management of the firm’s portfolios.

While at PanAgora, Dr. Chen developed and applied for a patent for a framework to construct sustainable

portfolios based on dual objectives of alpha and sustainability outperformance.

Prior to joining PanAgora, Dr. Chen was a Portfolio Manager at BlackRock’s Scientific Active Equity (SAE)

team, where his responsibilities include portfolio management and research into alpha insights for use

across the entire SAE platform. While at SAE, Dr. Chen won the “Signal of the Year” award for a signal he

researched and developed.

Dr. Chen started his career at Morgan Stanley in New York where he traded and managed a portfolio of

exotic US rates derivatives. While at Morgan Stanley, Dr. Chen researched, developed, and patented a

framework that allowed for the pricing of derivatives based on two rate curves with dynamic multiplicative

spread, one of the first such models on the street.

Dr. Chen graduated from the University of Illinois in 2005 with a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer

Engineering. During graduate school, he has published in leading academic engineering and applied

mathematics journals, and had been invited to talk at numerous academic and industry conferences.

Rado is the Founder & CEO of Neudata. Prior to founding Neudata, Rado's work experience spans 20 years of leadership, sales management, FinTech and data innovation for the buy-side. Rado spent several years in quantitative portfolio construction and risk management at MSCI (Barra), S&P Capital IQ and CITE Investments. He has worked at leading financial services firms, and financial data and analytics providers including PerTrac, 2iQ Research, I/B/E/S and TIM Group.

Rado received his Master of Business Administration from the University of Graz, Austria and is a CFA charterholder.

Adam is a Partner at Pinegrove Capital Partners, where he leads the data science group. In this role, Adam is responsible for spearheading research and development of advanced analytics solutions.

Previously, Adam lead Berkshire Partners’ data science group. In this role, Adam harnessed internal and external data in public and private equity investing and drove data science and engineering initiatives across the investment lifecycle: algorithmic sourcing, data-driven due diligence, and portfolio company value creation.

Prior to joining Berkshire, Adam worked as a Research Scientist at Harvard Medical School’s Predictive Medicine Group. In this capacity, he developed advanced predictive models in Medicine and Pharma. Adam’s background as a Data Scientist spans various sectors, employing advanced computational methods and artificial intelligence in steering strategic decisions and crafting innovative, data-driven solutions.

Adam is an MIT System Design and Management Fellow. He received a B.A. from Harvard University and an M.S. from MIT.

Her thematic focus includes Emerging & Frontier Markets and Sustainable Investing. Asha is a market maker and investment pioneer. She managed the world’s first Frontier markets fund as well as the first institutional actively managed Emerging Markets Fossil Fuel Free fund. She launched one of the earliest onshore China strategies in the United States. Separately, Asha led the first quantitative investor to become a signatory to the United Nations’ Principles for Responsible Investing, which now oversees more than $100 trillion in investment assets. She was previously an investment banker at Goldman Sachs and Lead Portfolio Manager and Director of Responsible Investing at Acadian Asset Management. She has traveled to over 80 countries and lived in six.

Asha was named one of the Top 10 Women in Asset Management by Money Management Executive and profiled as a “Brilliant Quant” by Forbes magazine. She is a supporter of several related organizations, including Compass Working Capital and 100 Women in Finance.

Asha holds an MBA with Honors from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania and a B.S., Biological Sciences, and A.B., Anthropology, from Stanford University. She lives between Boston and Florida with her husband, two young boys, and baby girl.

Cathy Tanimura is Principal of Analytics and Data Science at Summit Partners. She works closely with the Summit team and portfolio companies to help create and execute strategies that effectively use data and analytics to drive better decisions and build better products. Previously she led data teams at Strava, Okta, and Zynga. She is also the author of the book SQL for Data Analysis: Advanced Techniques for Transforming Data into Insights.

Ellen leads the global Knowledge Team for BCG’s Principal Investors and Private Equity (PIPE) Practice.  Her team is responsible for delivering data-driven products, tools and expertise in support of client engagements covering commercial due diligence, fund strategy and portfolio acceleration projects for the world’s largest investors.  Since 2018, Ellen launched the PIPE Knowledge Team function where she defined team structure, role in the business and deployed a menu of capabilities, offerings and tools.  She has grown the team from 3 to 50 FTE across 8 global locations.

Prior to BCG, Ellen spent her career in consulting.  She started at Deloitte Consulting with a focus in technology implementation and change management for corporate clients.  After graduate school, she joined a boutique consulting firm in Boston where she completed 60 engagements in Private Equity due diligence and then shifted into leading the firm operations & research function.

Ellen received her MBA from Wharton and MPA from Harvard Kennedy School.  She currently lives outside of Boston, together with her husband and three young sons.  She is an avid tennis player and enjoys getting outdoors no matter the weather!

Emilie is a Director with Iron Road Partners, a regulatory consulting firm that specializes in serving the alternative investments industry. Emilie leverages her industry experience and unique regulatory background to help sophisticated investment managers mitigate risk and implement effective compliance programs.

Prior to joining Iron Road, Emilie spent 8+ years with the SEC, most recently in a leadership role as Branch Chief for the Division of Examinations rapid response team, the Event and Emerging Risks Examination Team (EERT). Emilie helped form and lead EERT, a national team that focuses on conducting sophisticated examinations often triggered by emerging risks and significant market events. Prior to EERT, Emilie served as a Senior Examiner in the SEC’s Chicago and Miami regional offices, where she conducted complex examinations of private funds, investment advisers, and investment companies.

Before joining the SEC, Emilie was a Senior Auditor with Ernst and Young’s Global Asset Management Practice where she led global teams to perform financial statement audits of investment advisers and private funds, with a focus on hedge, private equity, and venture capital funds.

Emilie is a graduate of the Santa Clara University Leavey School of Business where she earned a B.S. in Commerce with a major in Accounting.

Farah started in the alternative data space by providing patent intelligence to public and private equity investors. In conjunction, Farah worked with corporate research & development departments from a broad range of industries.

Farah has an LLB in Law from Durham University.

Gina DiMento is the Deputy Chief Compliance Officer of Point72, responsible for supervising the Firm’s global compliance programs. She also serves as the Co-Program Administrator of the Point72 Data Privacy Program.

Ms. DiMento joined the Firm in 2011, and previously was the Global Head of Equities and Research Compliance and a Senior Compliance Officer. Earlier in her career, Ms. DiMento was General Counsel and CCO at PAR Capital Management and served as a Vice President and Regulatory Analyst at Wellington Management Company. She also was founder and managing member of AGS Law Group, specializing in legal and compliance advisory services for alternative investment managers.

Ms. DiMento received her B.S. in Business and Merchandising from the University of Vermont, and her J.D. from Suffolk University Law School. She is a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association. Ms. DiMento serves on the Financial Information Services Association of SIIA Alternative Data Council, and Point72’s Women in Finance Network Leadership Council.

Imran has over 25 years of experience building and managing credit portfolios and businesses with Total Return mandates. His focus has been managing leveraged credit portfolios based on issuer and sector fundamentals. The experience has spanned across public and private credit markets through multiple business and market stress cycles. Imran is a CEO & Founder of IB Capital Partners, which provides advisory services to private credit firms for portfolio management, portfolio construction and strategic partnerships with LP’s and banks. Imran is also a cofounder of Salary X, a FinTech firm focused on streamlining payments infrastructure for mid-sized and larger enterprises. Imran is an avid runner and lives with his family in the Greater Boston area.

Jason has 38 years of working experience in the capital markets, of which the past 28 years relate directly to the Market, Research and Reference Data practices. Combining vendor, sell-side, buy-side, and exchange experience, Jason's intent is to bring a quality voice from the buyside/consumer camp that is both advocacy leading and practically workable, striving to bring both relationship management and longer-term perspective as the essential attributes and goals.

Jonathan Dodson joined Sourcescrub after a 5-year tenure at Zignal Labs, where he oversaw product, technology, and data operations as Chief Technology Officer. He honed his expertise in machine learning by developing Zignal’s Media Intelligence platform which uses AI to identify factors that can shape opinions in real-time. Now at Sourcescrub, Jonathan brings his sharpened expertise to the table, driving innovation and keeping their products ahead of the curve. Jon has over 24 years of experience building products and technology to understand and interact with data at scale. In his role as CTO, Jon leads the company’s engineers, data scientists, and operations teams in enhancing the platform design and development. When not focused on AI for Sourcescrub, Jon enjoys spending time with his family in the great outdoors.
