James is a global economist at HSBC. He joined the Economics team in 2013 having previously worked within the Asset Allocation research team. His global work focuses on longer-term trends and themes, and the impact that they have on the economy and policy decisions today. Demographic data is at the heart of much of his work, but he has also written about urbanisation, the role of technology in the economy and how the world is moving away from cash. Alongside this, he provides economics coverage of Scandinavia. James holds a BSc in Economics from the University of Bath.

Starting his career out in financial services, Karem has spent most of the last decade at Nasdaq, Refinitiv and Acuris partnering with financial services organisations to navigate core challenges and introduce innovative approaches to enhance productivity & gain competitive advantage.

Thomas is the Head of the Geo-economics Programme at the Global Policy Institute. He has more than ten years of experience providing research and advice to corporates, investors, business associations and public sector clients on global economic and geopolitical developments. He previously led Global Counsel’s global macro team, and established the firm’s Doha office and MENA team. Prior to Global Counsel, Thomas worked at the World Bank on country strategy and in the Bundestag office of a former German defence minister. He studied in Berlin, Beirut and Washington, DC.

Danesh has been apart of Neudata's research team since 2022. Since joining the team, he has helped high frequency and fundamental trading firms identify novel datasets across various asset classes. Today, Danesh sits on Neudata's macro research team helping build relationships and grow the companies coverage of alternative and traditional data products.
