Welcome to the September edition of Neudata’s Tidbits for Data Providers.

In this article, we share some tips and tricks for your Neudata profile to help you get the most targeted meetings at our upcoming summit.

HOW TO MARKET YOURSELF TO DATA BUYERS

Filling out your 1-2-1 profile document

Neudata’s upcoming AltDating programme offers data providers a new opportunity to meet qualified leads among the data buyer community.

Make sure you fill out your 1-2-1 profile document, which buyers will review when selecting the vendors they want to meet with.

To maximize your chances of being picked, you should focus on the ‘latest development’ section of the profile. This section allows you to show how you differ from your peers. If you’ve made any meaningful changes to your product, like mapping your data to brands and tickers, you should share the reason why. Similarly, if you have institutional investors that use your dataset, you should give a breakdown of the strategies they employ. These details will help buyers understand why they should choose to meet with you.

A member of your team that knows the product intimately and regularly speaks with data buyers is best equipped to fill out your profile. Quite often, product managers or sales executives can explain the product/dataset in detail to this specific cohort of buyers and can answer questions thoroughly.

If you are interested in joining us for the next Neudata Summit, please reach out to events@neudata.co to discuss AltDating and sponsorship packages.

WHAT ARE CURRENT TRENDS IN THE ALTERNATIVE DATA MARKET?

This quarter, data buyers have been seeking macro datasets that could track the risk of recession. Another key interest was transactional data, with many institutional investors looking for new sources of this type of data (outside of the existing mainstream providers).

If you source data that tracks these topics, we would advise you to create a Neudata data provider account, where you can share your product details with our data buyer clients. Please reach out to saima@neudata.co for more information on how to complete your data vendor account and how to submit information.
