Welcome to the October edition of Neudata’s Tidbits for Data Providers.

This month we summarise how new US privacy regulations could impact data sellers, highlight key takeaways from our latest conference and outline current trends in the alternative data market.

THE AMERICAN DATA PRIVACY AND PROTECTION ACT

The ADPPA is a landmark US privacy bill that tries to crack down on the improper use of consumer data. Companies that source information from devices that can potentially reveal sensitive user identifiable information, such as names and emails, are affected. If passed, this bill could set guidelines for how companies collect, use and share the personal data of Internet users in the US.
