Doug Dannemiller is the Investment Management Research Leader at the Deloitte Center for Financial Services. Doug is responsible for driving the Center’s research platforms and delivering world-class research for our clients.
Doug has more than 25 years of experience in research, strategy, and marketing in the investment management and wealth management industries.
Before joining Deloitte, he was the vice president of strategy & research at one of the largest US asset managers, serving several of their subsidiary firms. In addition, Doug has also spent significant time as a research author and as a consultant in asset management operations, technology, and distribution. Doug has been published in the Financial Times, and quoted in The Wall Street Journal, Clearing Quarterly, and several other investment management focused publications.
Vitali Kalesnik is a partner and senior member of the investment team. He leads research and business strategy in the European region. Previously, Vitali led the Equity Research team and continues to perform general equity-related research.
Articles he has co-authored with others have been recognized with three Graham and Dodd Scroll Awards, a Financial Analysts Journal Readers’ Choice Award, a William F. Sharpe Indexing Achievement Award, a Bernstein Fabozzi/Jacobs Levy Award, and a Graham and Dodd Top Award for "What Is Quality?" His research strengthens and expands Research Affiliates’ products—in particular, RAFI™ Fundamental Index™ strategies—and supports our global tactical asset allocation products.
Vitali earned his PhD in economics from the University of California, Los Angeles, where he was a winner of the UCLA Graduate Division Fellowship for 2001–2005. He speaks fluent English, Russian, and French.
Hinesh Kalian is Director of Data Science at Man Group. He is responsible for data strategy, data acquisition, data science and data science engineering across Man Group’s investment
managers. Hinesh was formerly Head of Data Science and Investment Implementation for Man AHL, where he was responsible for monitoring and verifying activity on the Man AHL trading
system, new data acquisition and strategy, data management and portfolio implementation. Prior to joining Man Group in 2010, Hinesh spent six years at JPMorgan.
Hinesh holds an MSc in Finance from the University of London.
Minkyu is Head of Data and Analytics in the Active Quantitative Equity (AQE) team at State Street Global Advisors. He spearheads efforts to utilize new data and modeling techniques in AQE's investment process while leading the evolution of AQE's proprietary computing infrastructure. Previously, he was a Senior Quantitative Research Analyst and continues to be a leading contributor to AQE research alongside the Head of Quantitative Research. Minkyu earned a Ph.D. and an S.M. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science with a minor in Finance from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, as well as a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Seoul National University.
Pablo is the Director of Research at Integrated Quantitative Investments (IQI), where he is responsible for developing systematic investment strategies as well as guiding the evolution of IQI’s fully-remote research infrastructure.
Pablo started his career as an engineer at the Lawrence Berkeley National Lab. Prior to joining IQI he spent two decades as a portfolio manager with TIAA, designing and managing quantitative strategies in international developed and emerging market equities.
He is an experienced quantitative researcher, data scientist, and habitual adopter of new technologies providing practical solutions to hard computational problems.
Dean is responsible for leading, developing and expanding Neudata’s events programme.
Having spent the last decade creating, building and scaling conference and content businesses within the FinTech and Energy sectors, Dean has worked with some of the most recognisable global brands on B2B events of all sizes. Dean co-founded two conference companies in 2013 and exited through acquisition in early 2020.
Dean holds a BA Hons degree in Theatre and Performance Studies from Warwick University.
Ritchie Ng is a Data Scientist in the Quantitative Strategies (QS) team at Eastspring. He is responsible for leading artificial intelligence (AI) research and production deployment. Ritchie joined Eastspring Investments (Singapore) Limited in June 2021.
Prior to joining Eastspring Investments, Ritchie was a Chief AI Officer and Portfolio Manager at Hessian Matrix and Ensemble Capital in Singapore, where he led deep learning strategy, research and implementation with a focus on Asian markets. He also conducted several deep learning workshops as an institute instructor at NVIDIA. Ritchie has four years of industry experience.
Ritchie has a Bachelor of Business Administration (Finance) from National University of Singapore (NUS). He also holds a research scholar position in Sea-NExT, an AI joint research lab in NUS between NUS School of Computing, Tsinghua University, University of Southampton and Sea Limited.
Rinesh Patel is Head of Financial Services Industry at Snowflake where he is responsible for developing the financial service value proposition and supporting our customers' transition to cloud. Rinesh has been in the financial services industry for over 20 years in a variety of banking, consulting and business leadership roles.In his last role, Rinesh was Head of Cloud Proposition at Refinitiv (a London Stock Exchange Company) where he established and led a commercially-minded platform strategy and execution team to align business and technology strategies to accelerate migration to cloud and deliver revenue growth through new cloud based solutions. Rinesh also held a series of commercial leadership roles including leading the Enterprise Data business where he oversaw performance of a portfolio of solutions comprising market data feeds, analytics solutions and managed services.
Rinesh is based in London where he lives with his wife and two daughters.
Brian Peltonen is the Director of Data Analytics at Fidelity Management & Research Company (FMR Co.). His team is responsible for identifying alternative data sets and using AI to derive investment insights for Fidelity’s equity division. Prior to his current role, Brian worked in fundamental equity research as a member of the energy sector team. Before Fidelity, Brian worked as a programmer in the video game industry and as a consultant building AI models for corporate and governmental clients.
Waqar Rashid is Director of Data at Aspect Capital, having joined the systematic investment manager in December 2006. He is responsible for the entire set of data requirements for all of Aspect’s quantitative programmes. With over twenty years of experience in the industry, Waqar Rashid has held various roles including: Quantitative Analyst in the Equity Strategy Team at Goldman Sachs; Quantitative Analyst in the Equity Quant-Macro Trading Desk at Nations Bank; Head of Quant Research at IBJ Asset Management and Principal of Equinox Capital Management, where he ran European and US Equity Statistical Arbitrage. Waqar Rashid has an M.Sc. in Mathematical Economics and Econometrics from the London School of Economics and a B.A. in Economics and Mathematics from Sussex University.
Jose is bilingual fluent in Spanish and English and holds a first-class degree in Advertising and Marketing Communications. His areas of research interest include alternative analysis of corporate filings, advertising expenditure, and the wider alternative data landscape in South America. Jose is currently working towards attaining CFA designation.
Mr. White is a co-founder and the CEO of Quantbot Technologies, LP. Before co-founding Quantbot, he was co-head of Merrill Lynch's statistical arbitrage proprietary trading group (QSA). As an original founding member of QSA he was responsible for creating a new global business from scratch. Before joining Merrill, Paul had a senior position in Morgan Stanley's Equity Trading Lab (ETL) proprietary trading group, responsible for developing statistical arbitrage black box automated trading strategies. Prior to ETL, Paul held senior technology roles at Morgan Stanley, an Internet startup and a major European software company. Paul holds a BSc. in Mathematics and Computer Science.
Artemiza has over 15 years of investment management experience. Before co-founding Integrated Quantitative Investments, Artemiza was most recently a quantitative researcher at Man Numeric. Her research efforts focused on alpha signals, data processing, and model construction. Prior to joining Man Numeric in 2015, Artemiza was at Russell Investments for over a decade, where, as senior researcher, she focused on quantitative manager selection. Artemiza has taught courses in finance, economics and statistics at the University of Washington and the University of Auckland, New Zealand. Artemiza has a PhD in finance from University of Washington, and an MSc and BSc(Hons) in mathematics from University of Auckland. Her academic research focused on asset pricing and portfolio optimization. She has published in prestigious academic journals such as the Journal of Finance, Journal of Portfolio Management, and Management Science.
Ian heads the Client Engagement group at Neudata, as well as its busy programme of events. He has spent the last six years helping asset managers, investment banks and retailers to get value out of traditional and alternative data. Prior to that, Ian's experience encompassed analytical and commercial roles at Vodafone, Bank of Scotland and Liberty Mutual.
Ian holds an MA in Mathematics from the University of Oxford, and a Saltire Fellowship in Entrepreneurship from Babson College, Massachusetts.
Matthieu joined OFI Asset Management in January 2005 as a Project Manager / Business Analyst in front-office, middle-office, risk and compliance solutions. He was then appointed Data Quality Manager and then Chief Data Officer in 2018, and will now serve as head of the 10-person Data Management department.
Matthieu is a holder of the CFA charter, an MBA from Montpellier Business School and an engineering diploma from ESIEA.
Boris Lerner is the Global Head of Data for the Morgan Stanley Investment Research division, where he is responsible for all aspects of data acquisition, ingestion, management, analysis, visualization, and distribution to clients. Boris works closely with individual analysts to help incorporate data-driven insights into their research process, and deliver their content and ideas to clients in a digital form. Boris joined Morgan Stanley in 2003 and has worked on a broad range of projects over the years, including quantitative equity and derivative research, quantitative modelling, data analytics, and structuring.
Before taking on the current role, Boris was the Global Head of Quantitative Equity Research at Morgan Stanley, focusing on the quantitative analysis of the equity markets, developing alpha models, evaluating alternative data sources, and applying quantitative techniques to traditional fundamental research. Prior to joining the Morgan Stanley Research department, Boris co-headed the Morgan Stanley Quantitative Investment Strategies (QIS) structuring team in North America, where he developed cross-asset, rules-based hedging and risk premia investment strategies for use in diversified institutional portfolios. Boris holds a Master’s degree in Financial Mathematics from Columbia University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Finance and Information Technology from the New York University Stern School of Business.
Leigh Drogen is the GP and CIO of Starkiller Capital, an institutional investment management firm applying quantitative strategies to the blockchain based digital asset space.
Leigh began his career as a quantitative analyst and later PM at Geller Capital, a long/short quantamental equity hedge fund focused on momentum driven models. His early indoctrination into this philosophical approach to investing drives the organization and execution of his fundamental thesis in the cryptocurrency space where he has been an investor since 2013.
In 2009 Leigh joined the early team at StockTwits to build the product and community. Two years later he left to found Estimize, now the largest financial estimates platform in the world, which was acquired by ExtractAlpha in 2021. Estimize licenses its superior buy-side estimate data set to many of the world’s top quantitative hedge funds along with market neutral alpha factor models its quantitative research team builds internally. These models (pre earnings drift, through earnings drift, post earnings drift, earnings revisions and peer surprise) have consistently produced uncorrelated alpha with high Sharpe ratios since 2012.
Leigh was named to Forbes 30 Under 30 in 2014 and has been recognized as having built one of Forbes 9 Hottest Startups, Goldman Sachs 100 Most Intriguing Entrepreneurs, Entrepreneur Magazine’s 100 Brilliant Companies and Fast Company’s 10 Most Innovative Companies, amongst other citations.
Dr Neal LONG is the cofounder and director of Datago Technology. He obtained the Ph.D degree from The University of Hong Kong in 2015, where he mainly worked on empirical studies of information diffusion patterns on social media. Then he joined in the Business School of The Chinese University of Hong Kong as a postdoctoral fellow in FinTech Area. Now He mainly works on mining unstructured financial text data from financial news, social media posts and research reports. Dr. LONG is also the guest lecturer of Chinese University of Hong Kong (SZ) .
Duncan W. Robinson is the Director of Scientific Learning at Allspring Global Investments, a data scientist, a former options market-maker and the creator of several patent-pending inventions covering alternative data, including ESG, SDGs, data privacy and signal evaluation. In this capacity, he leads a team that is responsible for innovation, research, risk measurement, regime analysis and exploring alternative data using quantitative and statistical learning techniques.
Matthew Bergerman is an Executive Director at the DTCC and has been part of the DTCC Data Services team since July of 2015. He is charged with product development of data solutions for Equity Markets.
He has worked in the Financial Information industry for over 25 years. Previously, he has worked with financial market and reference data on the vendor side at Thomson Financial (now Refinitv-LSEG) and Pershing, as well as a consumer at Alliance Bernstein, Fortress Investment Group, and Deutsche Bank. Matthew has a BS degree from Syracuse University and an MBA from the New York Institute of Technology
Hiroko Goto has had almost a 20-year career at QUICK Corp, beginning as a sales rep, and has developed robust relationships with the sell-side firms in Japan. She has moved into the Nikkei London office as of 2020 and has worked to expand the network with global investors. Her latest role before coming to London was ESG related, and Hiroko has advised how Japanese investors and companies should respond to ESG issues based on the research of advanced cases in Europe.
As Senior Travel Industry Manager at Similarweb, Kapur partners with strategic global clients to
build efficient marketing plans, explore partnership opportunities, and optimize all steps of the
consumer journey.
She has been tracking travel developments for the past year and a half,
providing thought leadership when the industry bottomed out and actioning on recovery trends
accordingly. Work featured in Ad Age, Ad Week, CNBC, Skift, The Washington Post, USA
Today, and Yahoo Finance, among other media outlets
Anju Marempudi is the founder and CEO of IntelliBusiness, Inc. d/b/a EventVestor, the most
comprehensive smart data platform for event-driven first-order alternative data. Anju works with
many of the large quantitative and quantamental firms, providing data and insights into key
corporate market-moving events including unusual events and forward calendar events. Anju
has over two decades of experience in financial data and analytics, management consulting,
and information technology. Anju holds an MBA from The Wharton School of the University of
Pennsylvania and currently the Chair of The Wharton Fintech Network of the Wharton Club of
New York.
Daniel Firester is a Senior Data Scientist at Revelio Labs, a workforce intelligence company. Using
the latest research advances, Revelio Labs standardizes and structures labor data from millions of
online profiles and job postings, providing new insights for businesses and investors.
Since joining Revelio, Daniel has specialized in creating new models to extract rich information from the text of
workforce data, and in removing bias from raw data. He brings varied interests including Bayesian
Inference and computational sampling, which have aligned with the company’s ongoing mission to
constantly improve the predictive quality and veracity of its workforce data. Prior to joining Revelio
Labs, Daniel completed a Ph.D. at The Rockefeller University where he developed computational
models of protein mechanics.
Diana van Maasdijk is the Co-Founder & CEO of Equileap, a specialized ESG data provider
aiming to close the equality gap in the workplace.
Headquartered in Amsterdam, Equileap is the leading provider of data and insights on
gender equality in the corporate sector. Equileap researches and ranks 4000 public
companies around the world using a unique and comprehensive Gender Equality
Scorecard™ with 19 criteria, including the gender balance of the workforce, senior
management and board, as well as the gender pay gap, parental leave, and sexual

Prior to launching Equileap, Diana worked as Head of Philanthropy at ABN AMRO Private
Bank and Director of Development at Mama Cash, the world's oldest international women's
fund.
She has a BA from Hamilton College and an MA in international development from American
University.
Karolis Didziulis is the Head of Commerce at Coresignal, a company collecting public alternative data, enabling investment firms to identify new investment opportunities with greater efficiency. Karolis leads Coresignal's revenue operations and oversees the company's ongoing expansion.
Back in 2017, Karolis started as one of the first employees at Coresignal as a Sales Executive. He helped develop the business by finding, signing, and consulting its first partnerships. He signed deals to provide the freshest alternative data to hundreds of investment management, lead generation, and HR tech companies.
Anu Murgai is VP, Commercial Solutions for SpaceKnow, a leading satellite data analytics company. In this role, she runs Product and GTM for the commercial vertical. For several years, she was a global macro Portfolio Manager. She ran her own hedge fund, Suranya Capital Management, from 2007-2012 and worked at several well-known hedge funds such as Tiger Management, Ulysses Capital Partners, Shumway Capital Partners and Alphadyne Asset Management. In 2019, she worked at Crux Informatics, a cloud-based data operations and delivery company, in a variety of roles from go-to-market to product. She holds an MBA from the University of Chicago and a B.A (High Honors) from Swarthmore College.
Nick is currently the VP Of Sales at Kochava leading the Finance Vertical. His focus there has been to drive best practices across measurement and attribution while advising on Kochava's suite of products.
His goal is to help brands drive custom acquisition, enrich and monetize their first party data, mitigate fraud, and navigate the programmatic ecosystem. In his past roles at Omnicom and ShareThis, he has worked with notable brands to lead Global initiatives including American Express, P&G, Accenture, and Deloitte.
Andreas leads Exabel's teams of quantitative and equity analysts. He joined Exabel from McKinsey, where he worked as Engagement Manager. He holds an MSc degree in Industrial Economics and Technology Management from NTNU.
Don is the General Counsel of Neudata. In addition to managing the company's legal affairs, Don leads the review of the compliance and regulatory aspects of new datasets and assists with product development. He previously served as Legal Counsel at Davidson Kempner Capital Management LP, where he onboarded third party research providers and conducted related due diligence. Don started his career as a research analyst on a merger arbitrage trading desk.
Don holds a JD from the Fordham University School of Law and a BA from Washington University in St. Louis. He has received CIPP/E and CIPP/US certifications from the International Association of Privacy Professionals.
Matt leads Consumer Markets Business Development for the AWS Data Exchange by helping customers more easily find and connect to new data sources. Prior to AWS, Matt managed Data Distribution for 1010data (2016-2019) and was a Business Developer for Two Sigma’s Alpha Capture Strategy (2007-2016).
Doug Edmonds: Chief Data Officer, DecaData, has spent his career working with data to inform marketing and advertising strategy. In 2014 he set up a retail analytics firm that was the genesis for DecaData, a firm specializing in building consumer-driven transaction data products that provide insight into the performance of publicly traded firms.
Colby Howard is President and a Founding Partner of Paragon Intel, as well as Product Lead for JetTrack, Paragon's flight interface and dataset.
Joshua Frank is Co-Founder & CEO of The TIE - the leading provider of information services for digital assets. The TIE's clients include the leading traditional and crypto hedge funds, OTC desks, market makers, banks, and other institutional market participants. Prior to co-founding The TIE, Josh worked as a consultant at SS&C Technologies, focused on building out their post-trade settlement business.
