Fintech firm Neudata was founded in 2016 with a simple mission — to provide asset managers with unbiased intelligence on the alternative data sources that could help their investment processes.

Since then, we have grown to a team of 50 alternative data scouts, software developers, events professionals, account managers and journalists serving leading global organisations in London, New York and Shanghai.

Our SaaS platform combines cutting-edge software with our expert research analysis to find our investment management, private equity, venture capital and corporate clients the most relevant and useful datasets for each individual use case.

Founder and CEO Executive

Rado is the founder and CEO of Neudata. Prior to founding Neudata, Rado's work experience spans 20 years of leadership, sales management, FinTech and data innovation for the buy-side. Rado spent several years in quantitative portfolio construction and risk management at MSCI (Barra), S&P Capital IQ and CITE Investments. He has worked at leading financial services firms, and financial data and analytics providers including PerTrac, 2iQ Research, I/B/E/S and TIM Group.

Rado received his Master of Business Administration from the University of Graz, Austria and is a CFA charterholder.

Head of Research (London) Executive Research

Daryl is Head of Research at Neudata. He and his team are responsible for researching and discovering alternative datasets for a wide range of asset managers and corporations worldwide. Prior to Neudata, Daryl spent five years as an equity research analyst at boutique investment firm Liberum across a number of sectors including Agriculture, Chemicals and Diversified Financials.

Prior to Liberum, Daryl worked at Goldman Sachs as an equity derivatives analyst and regulatory reporting strategist.

Daryl holds a Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Bath and is a CFA charterholder.

Ian leads the client group at Neudata, helping investors, consultancies and corporations source the very best datasets to help them make better decisions. Ian has spent the last eight years helping organisations from hedge funds to department stores get value out of traditional and alternative data. Ian has particular interest in how to find value from Consumer datasets such as browsing data or spending data - and how this should be done ethically and sustainably.

Ian holds an MA in Mathematics from the University of Oxford, and a Saltire Fellowship in Entrepreneurship from Babson College, Massachusetts.

Piers is the CTO of Neudata. Before joining Neudata, Piers held a range of technical leadership roles, most recently for Bank of America Merrill Lynch and UBS. Positions included Head of Research Data technology at UBS and Head of Global Markets Finance technology at BofAML. In addition to leading development teams in the financial services industry, Piers has also built teams and systems in domains including military aircraft, telecoms and network management.

Piers holds a BEng in Microelectronics from the University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne.

Michael leads the corporate client group at Neudata.  He and his team work tirelessly to help corporate clients effectively identify and source external data from thousands of data vendors.  Michael has over twenty years of senior leadership experience at companies where he drove digital transformation and data-driven culture.  Most recently Michael ran sales and marketing at alternative data provider Sequentum, Inc.

Michael received his MBA from the Columbia Business School in New York.

Sondra is the editor of Neudata's news platform. She covers the alternative data strategies of asset managers and data vendors, including new fund launches, product launches, fundraising, dataset usage and pricing. She takes a particular focus on legal, compliance and tax issues that impact buyers and sellers of alternative data.

She also heads up marketing for Neudata and is responsible for the firm's external marketing and communications strategies.

Prior to joining Neudata, Sondra reported on the machine learning and alternative data strategies of institutional investors for EQDerivatives/machineByte and commercial real estate debt markets for Real Estate Finance & Investment across the US, UK and Europe.

Sondra holds BA degrees in Economics and Public Communications from American University in Washington, D.C.

Helena is responsible for discovering and researching China-related alternative datasets for a wide range of asset managers worldwide. Prior to Neudata, Helena worked as sales operation manager at UBS Evidence Lab and alternative data product manager at 86 Research and Juwai.com. Helena has also worked at Pacific Epoch as Co-Head of Research and senior TMT analyst.

Helena holds a Masters degree in Political Economy of Late Development from the London School of Economics.

Marc is the Senior Product Manager at Neudata and is responsible for bringing new
Alternative Data products to market as well as enhancing existing products to provide
the best user experience.
Marc is experienced in productizing new software technology, from concept to
production. He creates a technology differentiator that results in delivering winning
customer focussed applications. Marc has worked within B2B SaaS for the last ten
years; specialising in Business Intelligence, Customer Engagement and Social Media.
He has helped secure two Deloitte Technology Fast 50 Awards and two successful
exits.

Dean is responsible for leading, developing and expanding Neudata’s events programme.

Having spent the last decade creating, building and scaling conference and content businesses within the FinTech and Energy sectors, Dean has worked with some of the most recognisable global brands on B2B events of all sizes. Dean co-founded two conference companies in 2013 and exited through acquisition in early 2020.

Dean holds a BA Hons degree in Theatre and Performance Studies from Warwick University.

Julia has over four years of experience as an analyst and account manager in consulting and financial services. Prior to Neudata, Julia worked at Macrobond Financial, the Foresight Factory and Gatehouse Advisory Partners. As an analyst, she covered a broad range of topics and sectors, including consumer trends, retail investing and the global macroeconomy.

Julia holds an MSc in Economy, Risk and Society from the London School of Economics and a BA in Economics, Politics and Sociology from the University of Westminster.

History from the University of St Andrews.

As a senior analyst on Neudata's research team, Kathryn is responsible for scouting alternative datasets for institutional investors that can be applied to micro or macro use cases. Her areas of research interest include sources of consumer and B2B transactional data (e.g. credit/debit card transactions, POS systems, e-receipts), institutional and retail flow data, and the wider alternative data landscape. Further areas of expertise include the healthcare sector and cryptoassets.

Kathryn holds a BA in Russian Studies and Classics from the University of Edinburgh and a BSc Hons in Economics and International Relations from the Open University. She is currently working towards attaining CFA designation.

Chash previously worked as a business analyst at Craft, a data analytics firm in London. Prior to this, she held roles at KPMG in the Tax & Pension division, and at J.P.Morgan in the Global Fixed Income division.

Chash is a graduate from University College London, with a first class honours in Management Science.

Shaq is an experienced alternative data strategist. He works as part of the research team to identify unique datasets, and assist clients to determine how to meet their business requirements through data.

Prior to Neudata, he worked in the Civil Service as a Data Strategist and Data Analyst, advising customer departments on strategies and partnerships to maximise value from data.

Shaq holds a BSc in Geography from the University of Portsmouth. His professional interests include awareness of the societal and business impact of technology trends such as increased use of data-driven decision making, implementation of Data Science techniques, Blockchain, and Web3.

Annabelle has a particular interest in using technology to undertake research and enjoys learning about artificial intelligence within data analysis.

Konstantinos has recently joined the company as part of Neudata’s internship programme. He graduated from Queen Mary University with a Bachelor of Laws as well as a Master of Laws in Commercial and Corporate Law. 
 
Throughout his studies, he has had work experiences in various disciplines of law; including pro bono placements with Reed Smith and Dentons in London and the Singaporean Law Society in Singapore, as well as corporate placements with Coca-Cola HBC in Russia and Shearman & Sterling in London. He also possesses academic and professional experience in the energy and technology industries, which will prove especially useful throughout his time at Neudata. 
 
In his free time, Konstantinos is a basketball coach for young groups, as well as competes in amateur basketball leagues across London.

Paris scouts datasets from mainly the Japanese market. Prior to Neudata, she worked as a business and data analyst at Japan Centre, London, a project manager at Taishin Bank, Taipei, and the supervisor of corporate planning office at Hitachi Taiwan.

Paris enjoys learning languages and specialses in informatics, holding an MBA from HEC Paris, an MSc MISDI from LSE and an MA in Human Science from Waseda University. She is also a certified agile practitioner and Japanese-Chinese interpreter.

Tom holds a BA in Media with Cultural Studies from Southampton Solent University and is an NCTJ-qualified sub-editor.

Prior to Neudata, Lucy spent sixteen years as a principal researcher, translator, and news assistant for The Australian Financial Review’s China bureau. Prior to AFR, Lucy was a lecturer for graduate students at Zhongnan University of Economics and Law.

Lucy holds a Masters degree in English Education from Hubei University.

Prior to this he was the founder of Arete Consulting, a financial research and data business specialising in structured products. Before setting up Arete Consulting in 2001, he spent 13 years at HSBC in a variety of derivatives roles across foreign exchange, equity and interest rate markets. Dr Benson graduated with a BSc(Eng) in Mechanical Engineering from Queen Mary College, London, before going on to complete an Msc in Management Science and a PhD in Finance both at Imperial College, London.

As former Head of Global Financial Data Partnerships at Twitter, Stephen was responsible for all business with hedge funds, asset managers, banks, FinTech partners, platforms and other financial institutions. He joined via acquisition of Gnip, where he opened and ran the New York City office. Stephen now consults in the areas of AI and big and alternative data, including as an advisor to Neudata. Stephen is a CAIA® charterholder.
